Money Is Not Evil—Coveting Is Evil

Money Is a Tool, and the Truth Scriptures™ through Promote the Truth™ Teaches Us How to Use It Righteously

In today’s world, money is one of the most misunderstood forces on earth. Some people worship it. Others fear it. Some chase it with greed, while others reject it and call it evil. But both extremes reveal the same problem: Confusion.

The truth is simple: Money is not evil. Coveting is evil.

Money is not a demon. It is not a curse. It is not a sin. It is a tool—a form of exchange and authority in the earth. But like any tool, money can either be used to build or to destroy, to baruk (blessed) or to corrupt.

And the reason most people misuse money is because they have never been taught the truth of YAHUAH’s Word concerning provision, stewardship, and kingdom order.

The Truth Scriptures™ through Promote the Truth™ exposes this confusion. It corrects false teachings. It removes emotional fear. It restores covenant understanding. And it teaches us how to handle money righteously—without worshiping it, without fearing it, and without being enslaved by it.

THE LIE: “MONEY IS EVIL”

One of the most common religious lies is this statement:

“Money is the root of all evil.”

This phrase has been repeated so often that people believe it without checking Scripture. But the Word never says money is evil.

The Bariyt Hadash is clear:

“The coveting of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people covet money so strongly that they have abandoned their faith and brought themselves considerable suffering.”

— 1 Tiymutiy (Timothy) 6:10

It does not say money is the root.
It says coveting is the root.

Money is neutral.
Money is not righteous.
Money is not wicked.
Money becomes either a barakah (sn-blessing) or a curse depending on the heart of the person holding it.

That is why Scripture warns us not against money, but against what money can reveal: greed, fear, pride, and misplaced trust.

COVETING IS THE TRUE PROBLEM

Coveting is not simply wanting something. Coveting is an unhealthy, obsessive desire that becomes an internal addiction.

Coveting says:

·      “I need more to be secure.”

·      “I need money to feel powerful.”

·      “I will compromise truth to gain more.”

·      “I will step on people to increase myself.”

Coveting is what turns money into a spiritual trap.

This is why Yahusha who is YAHUAH warned:

“Then Yahusha said to the crowd! “Be warned! Guard yourselves against all kinds of greed. After all, a person’s life is not determined by how much they have, even if a person is very wealthy.”  — Luqah (Luke) 12:15

This verse destroys modern financial idolatry.

Yahusha did not say possessions are evil.

He said in essence that life is not defined by possessions.

Coveting makes people believe money is life.

But Covenant teaches that YAHUAH is life.

MONEY ANSWERS THINGS—BUT IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU ETERNAL LIFE

The Ta’anak (OT) reveals another truth that many religious people refuse to admit:

“…Money answers everything.” — Qahlat (sn-Ecclesiastes) 10:19

This is not pagan. This is Scripture.

Money answers needs in the earth system, such as:

·      Food

·      Shelter

·      Medicine

·      Education

·      Transportation

·      Kingdom advancement

However, money does not save the soul.

Money is a tool for the physical world.
But it is not the source of life.
And it is not the foundation of eternity.

When money becomes the foundation of your trust, it becomes an idol. But when money is placed under covenant authority, it becomes a kingdom instrument.

YAHUAH IS THE SOURCE—MONEY IS ONLY A CHANNEL

One of the greatest revelations of the Truth Scriptures™ through Promote the Truth™ is this:

Provision does not originate from your job.
Provision originates from YAHUAH.

Your job is a channel.
Your business is a channel.
Your skills are a channel.

But the Source is YAHUAH

This is why the Ta’anak (OT) declares:

“The earth belongs to YAHUAH, along with everything that is in it. This includes everything in the world and anyone or anything that lives in it.” — Tahliym (Psalms) 24:1

That means:

Your money belongs to YAHUAH.

Your land belongs to YAHUAH.

Your increase belongs to YAHUAH.

Your breath belongs to YAHUAH.

The Truth Scriptures through Promote the Truth™ teaches that money is not yours to worship. It is yours to steward.

THE PURPOSE OF MONEY WHEN IT COMES TO COVENANT

YAHUAH never intended His people to be weak, broke, fearful, or dependent on pagan systems.

YAHUAH’s covenant pattern is always this:

·      Obedience produces barakut (blessings)

·      Stewardship produces increase

·      Righteousness produces authority

·      Giving produces multiplication

This is why the Ta’anak (OT) says:

“You must remember that YAHUAH, your Aluah, is the One who gives you power to obtain wealth. He does this so He can establish His Covenant that He swore to your ancestors, just as He is doing to this very day.” —  Dabariym (Deuteronomy) 8:18

Notice: YAHUAH gives power to get wealth.
Not to worship wealth.
Not to covet wealth.
But to steward it.

Wealth is meant to fund obedience, protect families, support the kingdom, and establish covenant order on the earth.

THE TRUTH SCRIPTURES™ CORRECTS OUR THINKING

Most people have been trained by religion to fear money.

Religion teaches:

“Being poor are set-apartness.”

“Money is dirty.”

“Rich people are evil.”

But the Truth Scriptures™ exposes the real truth:

Poverty is not set-apartness.
Greed is sin.
Coveting is wickedness.
Stewardship is righteousness.

The Truth Scriptures teaches balance:

·      Do not worship money

·      Do not fear money

·      Do not hate money

·      Use money as a tool under authority

When your mind is corrected by the Word, your decisions change. Your emotions stabilize. Your discipline strengthens. Your future expands.

That is why the Word is described as a weapon:

“…The Word of Aluah is living and active. It is sharper than any two-edged sword. It pierces to the point of dividing the soul from the spirit and the joints from the marrow. It is able to quickly judge the thoughts and the intent of the heart.”Abariym (Hebrews) 4:12

The Word cuts lies out of the mind.
It separates truth from deception.
It reprograms the heart.

TITHING: THE KEY THAT PROVES TRUST

Tithing is not a financial ritual.
Tithing is a Covenant declaration.

 Tithing says:

“YAHUAH is my Source.”
“YAHUAH owns my increase.”
“I will not covet.”
“I will obey.”

The Ta’anak gives direct instructions on Tithing:

“Bring your entire tithe into the Storehouse, so that there may be food in My House. I want you to test Me in this,” says YAHUAH of Hosts, “and see if I shall not open up the windows of Heaven for you, and pour you out such favor that you shall not have enough room to receive it.” — Malakiyahu (Malachi) 3:10

Tithing is not loss.
It is positioning.

It positions you under the flow of YAHUAH’s provision system.

The Bariyt Hadash (NT) confirms the principle of giving:

“Give, and it shall be given to you. It shall come back, and it shall fall into your lap in a good measure that is pressed down, shaken together, and running over. The portion you give shall determine the portion you receive in return.” — Luqah (Luke) 6:38

This is not motivational speech.

This is Kingdom Business.

THE LOVE OF MONEY IS NOT THE ISSUE—THE HEART IS

Many people misunderstand the phrase “Love of Money.” They assume that any desire for wealth is sinful.

But Scripture defines the problem as “COVETING”—an obsession that causes compromise and rebellion.

If you are willing to:

·      lie to gain money

·      betray your family for money

·      ignore the Shabat for money

·      reject YAHUAH’s Calendar for money

·      stop tithing to gain more money

Then money has become your master.

Yahusha who is YAHUAH Mashiyha (Savior) warned:

“No one can serve two masters. You shall either prioritize the One Master over others, or you shall prioritize others over the One Master. You cannot serve both Aluah and money.” — Matatiyahu (Matthew) 6:24

This is the dividing line.

Money is a servant.

But if money becomes your master, you are no longer free.

YAHUAH’S PEOPLE MUST BECOME LENDERS, NOT BORROWERS

YAHUAH’s covenant plan is never weakness. It is authority.

The Ta’anak (OT) declares:

YAHUAH, your Aluah, will baruk you, just as He promised you. You will lend to many nations, but will not have to borrow from them. You will rule over many nations, but none of them will rule over you.” — Dabariym (Deuteronomy) 15:6

This is not pride.
This is Covenant positioning.

Borrowing is often connected to dependence. Lending is connected to authority and provision.

The Truth Scriptures teaches that when you align with YAHUAH, your mindset changes:

·      You become disciplined

·      You stop wasting

·      You stop living emotionally

·      You stop being controlled by fear

·      You build wealth with purpose

MONEY IS A TOOL FOR KINGDOM DEPLOYMENT

Money is not given to you only for comfort.

Money is given to you for mission.

Money is required for:

·      Spreading the Truth Scriptures

·      Supporting translation work

·      Funding teaching platforms

·      Feeding the Qahal

·      Building infrastructure

·      Protecting families

This is why Shaul said:

“In the same way, the Master instituted that everyone who preaches the Bashurah will make their living from the Bashurah.”
1 Qaranatiym (Corinthians) 9:14

Supporting Kingdom work is not optional.
It is commanded.

This is why finding places where YAHUAH’s work is truly being done is so very important.

If the world is deceived by false translations, false names, and false systems, then the restoration must be funded, defended, and deployed.

CONCLUSION: MONEY IS A TOOL—BUT THE WORD IS LIFE

Money can buy food.
Money can build houses.
Money can support missions.
Money can fund restoration.

However, money cannot give eternal life.

Only the Word of YAHUAH can.

Money is not evil.
Money is not salvation.
Money is not the enemy.

The enemy is coveting.
The enemy is fear.
The enemy is lawlessness.
The enemy is disobedience.

The Truth Scriptures™ through Promote the Truth™ teaches us how to use money righteously—under Covenant authority, under Kingdom order, and under the Name of YAHUAH.

Because in the end, the goal is not to be greedy and foolish.

The goal is to become aligned with YAHUAH.

And when alignment is restored, provision follows.
